Shane Duffy, Star Of 'Built,' On Good Day

Posted: Updated:

He's hot, he's handy and he's on Good Day.

Shane Duffy is a male model who started booking odd handyman jobs to pay the rent in between gigs. Then, he rounded up some model friends and started a company that morphed into Style Network's hit show, "Built."

He's the owner of "Hott And Handy." They offer handyman work including services like painting, closet revamping and landscaping. Duffy shared his story about how when living in LA, he decided to be put his handyman skills to work instead of doing the usual waiter-ing or bartending that the normal Hollywood hopeful does. One client said to him, "You guys look hot and handy," and that's when the light-bulb went off in his head and he gave his company the name.

Years after, the style network found them, and Duffy became the star of "Built." Duffy tells Mike what goes into a tool bell. Mike asked the question because he wanted to make the segment more educational.

Duffy has also served in the army for eight and a half years. He's an Afghan war veteran. He tells Good Day that serving in the Army created the handyman skills he has today because he literally needed to work with whatever he had.

Duffy still models for Johnny Walker, Banana Republic, Under Armour. And more.

Duffy also reveals that he's single.
