Jenn Fred At The Valley Forge Military Academy

Posted: Updated:
WAYNE, Pa. -

Kids aren't sent to the Valley Forge Military Academy because they're bad. Kids go there because it teaches leadership, builds character, and provides military training that you can't get at a regular college.

Jenn went to the Academy to talk to some of the students and see what they were up to on a Monday morning. She even immersed herself in their activities when she scaled a tall tree.

The president of the Valley Forge Military Academy, Stacey Sauchuk, is the first female president of a military institution. "At the end of the day, I feel it was a bold choice on the part of the board, and I'm grateful for that."

The cadets are currently getting ready for "The Crucible," where they use teamwork to hoist each other over a wall in 45 seconds.

All three segments are attached to the story above.
