A new music video from hip hop artist J. Cole is dedicated to a 7-year-old Detroit girl killed during a police raid.

The video for "Crooked Smile" appears as a loose interpretation of events similar to those that led to the death of Aiyana Jones at her grandmother's home on the city's east side.

Detroit police officer Joseph Weekley was accused of involuntary manslaughter and careless discharge of a firearm in the May 2010 shooting death of Jones. Weekley's trial ended in a hung jury in June.

Cole, who grew up in North Carolina is set to perform Oct. 10 at the Masonic Temple in Detroit.
