Prostate cancer added to WTC illness list

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has added prostate cancer to the list of diseases eligible for coverage under the Zadroga Act.

The Patrolmen's Benevolent Association filed a petition earlier this year to have it added. The union said first responders have a higher than expected rate of prostate cancer.

The administrator of the September 11 Victims Compensation Fund examined the petition and approved the addition. The ruling will be published in the Federal Register on September 19, 2013.

But reading or watching something scary before you go to bed might cause you to dream about something disturbing.

Deep beneath the hustle and bustle of Tribeca lies a modern-day oasis brimming with old world charm: Aire Ancient Baths, my new favorite city escape. The breathtaking spa is illuminated by hundreds of candles and smells of invigorating eucalyptus. For around $80 you can bathe in the tranquil blue pools for 90 minutes and find the temperature that's right for you.

The saying art is autobiographical takes on a whole new meaning when your canvas is a fully nude human body, as it is for artist Andy Golub. Andy along with 30 other artists and 45 Technicolor models paraded around several Manhattan hotspots over the weekend for NYC Body Painting day. Believe or not, this is completely legal in New York City.
