ROMULUS, Mich. (WJBK) -

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the robbery and sexual assault of a 72-year-old Romulus woman.

Detectives executed several search warrants including one at the now-arrested suspect's residence, police say.

On Sep. 10, Romulus Police responded to a call on the 28000 block of Riverbridge on a home invasion.  The victim says a man climbed a 6-foot gate then entered her home through an unlocked patio door after she let her dogs out.

The man appeared to have been holding a black object in his hand that was approximately six to eight inches in length. The suspect ransacked the home, took some jewelry then proceeded to sexually assault the woman, police say.

She shared her emotional story with Fox 2's Andrea Isom, which you can find by clicking here.

"A mixed bag": That's how the Straphangers Campaign characterizes New York City subways; some good parts and some bad. For example, the C train breaks down most often, not surprising since the line has 50-year-old cars. But C trains were also the cleanest in the transit system.Straphangers said the worst subway trains were the IRT's No. 2.
