One of the victims killed in the shooting was Kathy Gaarde. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother, and like 11 other people that day, she simply went to work at the Navy Yard.

WASHINGTON -

D.C. Cardinal Donald Wuerl will lead a mass for consolation and healing in memory of those who died in the Navy Yard shooting and the families they left behind.
         
It will be held at 12:10 pm Tuesday at the Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle in northwest.
