A Greater Grand Crossing man accused of carjacking an off-duty Chicago Police sergeant two weeks ago was ordered held on $400,000 bond by a Cook County judge on Saturday.

Nineteen-year-old Christopher Jones was already in police custody for an unrelated burglary when he was implicated in the carjacking investigation, police said.

Jones, of the of the 1300 block of East 69th Street, was initially arrested Thursday for an unrelated burglary that occurred Aug. 25 in the 6100 block of South Kimbark Avenue, police said.
