Blizzard Bowl - New York News

Blizzard Bowl

Posted: Updated:
East Rutherford, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

This year’s Super Bowl will be held at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and according to the Farmer’s Almanac players and fans can expect a blizzard.

When Jets fans were asked about the possible impending weather, many of them seemed to think it would be the best thing ever.

According to a New Jersey Climatologist, “If you look at the record book, for the last 100 years you would see that it precipitates ever 3 to 5 days during the course of the winter.” This means the best that anyone can really do in terms of predicting the weather for the Super Bowl is very loose. The Farmer’s Almanac  suggests right now that there is about an 80% chance of having rain or snow that day, but they don’t offer any insight into what methods they have used to make this prediction.

So the question really is, if bad whether does occur, can this blame be put on the NFL for moving the game to the North East where bad weather in February is common?

In June, Governor Christie announced a statewide expansion of the Narcan pilot in response to the heroin epidemic across New Jersey. Narcan can be used in the case of a heroin overdose to save someone’s life. Danny LaPointe is a former heroin addict who now describes himself as a person in long-term recovery from a substance abuse disorder. He says that heroin doesn’t discriminate and while some may be surprised by his story, it is not unique.
