Couple accused of molesting exchange students

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -

A Suwanee couple is accused of molesting six Korean exchange students they were hosting in their home.

Authorities accuse Woo Yi and Hyun Yi of providing the underage students with alcohol and then making them play games that involved the students stripping.

"The male suspect would encourage these guys to kiss, make out and touch each other.  He and the wife would watch," said Cpl. Jake Smith of the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Gwinnett County police believe the abuse happened four or more times since July. The students were between the ages of 15 and 18.

The parents of the teens paid the couple $15,000 each to host the students while they attended high schools across the metro area. Those teens are now looking for another place to live. The Korean Consulate said they are in the process of reaching out to these students to help them find other homes.

Investigators said it's unclear if the couple had a business website or if they matched with students through a site like Craigslist.

Woo Yi and Hyun Yi are charged with two counts of child molestation and six counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor. They are currently being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
