Family welcomes quintuplets at Arizona hospital

PHOENIX -

You're looking at the newest set of quintuplets born in the valley. The Derrico quints were born at Banner Desert Medical Center last Friday.

Mom and dad are from Las Vegas but came to Arizona to have the babies. They were born at 32 weeks, and are now being cared for at Cardon Children's Medical Center.

Deniko is the oldest -- he was born at 11:17. Dariz, another boy, came just one minute later. Deonee was the first girl, then came Daician, another girl, and Daiten was the final girl. She was also the smallest.

Mom says she's focusing on spending as much time with the babies as she can.

"For me it was a milestone, two nights ago I got to hold Dariz and see how he was squirmy and then I held him and kind of hung to him he calmed down," says Evonne Derrico, quints' mother.

"They went above and beyond they really went above and beyond and I really mean every member of this hospital did that and I will be forever grateful," says Dion Derrico, father.

The quints will be going home to a full house.

The Derrico's already have 4 kids, including a set of 1-year-old twins. And mom and dad say they're not ruling out the possibility of more children.
