Christie: 'Hey Genius, The Super Bowl Is In New Jersey'

Posted: Updated:

Governor Chris Christie has his own remarks for the upcoming Super Bowl XLVIII.

Over the weekend, the New Jersey governor did an interview with the NFL Network during the NFL season kick-off. He is excited for the Super Bowl coming this February, but he wants it to be known that the event is really in New Jersey.

"Yeah, well, because they practice in New Jersey, they play in New Jersey; most of their players live in New Jersey," Christie said. "There's nothing left from New York about the Giants or the Jets, except for the name. It's kinda odd that they're called what they're called. But, you know as long as everyone understands that they are New Jersey's teams and that the Super Bowl this year is in New Jersey, not New York, then I'm fine."

Christie also appeared in a promotion for FOX Sports NFL Kickoff, setting the record straight on the REAL location of Super Bowl XLVIII. You can watch the clip in the video above, or by clicking here.
