"Business of Energy" panel discussion Thursday at Lawrence Tech

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Going green and saving green will be the topic of conversation Thursday,Sept. 12 at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. WWJ Newsradio 950 technology editor Matt Roush will lead the panel discussion called "The Business of Energy."

The discussion will focus on how the latest energy technologies can save you money and be good for the environment. Panelists who are scheduled to appear include: Carla Walker Miller, Founder and CEO, Walker Miller Energy Inc., Detroit, Mark Ferda, Renewable Energy Account Manager, McNaughton-McKay Electric, Madison Heights and Jean Redfield, CEO, NextEnergy, Detroit.

The event will be held at Lawrence Tech, 21000 W. 10 Mile Rd. in Southfield from 7:30am-9am with networking, registration and a continental breakfast followed by the panel discussion. There is no charge to attend.

    A store clerk inside of a Brooklyn mini-mart was set ablaze when an enraged sicko threw a Molotov Cocktail into the store.  It happened just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday at the store on Fort Hamilton Parkway.The 34-year-old store clerk had his hair and coat catch fire in the attack.
