Atlanta's Pease brothers test their mettle at Ironman

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

An extraordinary team of brothers, home-grown right here in Atlanta, is training in both body and mind for an incredible challenge this weekend.

Brent and Kyle Pease are headed to Madison, Wisconsin, for an Ironman competition on Sunday. Kyle lives with cerebral palsy. For him to compete, the brothers have added an extra bike seat to Brent's bicycle. It's part of a wheelchair designed for pushing.

During the swim portion of the Ironman, Brent will tow Kyle in a kayak.

They've competed in other races, but this Ironman Triathlon will, by far, be the longest and most difficult race they've ever undertaken.

The brothers say they're racing to bring awareness to their organization, The Kyle Pease Foundation. It's aimed at making it possible for more assisted athletes to participate in a variety of sports.
