X-ray scans feet in heels, shows damage within 2 minutes

Updated:

No matter how painful, many women refuse to give up their high heels.

If you're a devoted wearer of the fashionable footwear, there's a new x-ray that can tell you how damaged your feet are.

The "PedCAT" allows women to step into an X-ray and after two minutes, podiatrists get a diagnostic and 3D image of their feet and ankles.

Doctors are then able to see the effect the shoes are having on your feet and prescribe the best treatments.

The PedCAT is $290, but is typically covered by insurance.

FOX 10's Diane Ryan talks to Dr. Erin Martin about the benefits of the scan.
