Beam Me Up!: Dragon Con packs in another unique crowd

Posted: Updated:

Thousands of sci-fi and fantasy fans wrapped up their weekend adventure to Atlanta's Dragon Con on Monday. The annual convention draws thousands of people to Atlanta every year.

It's a stand-out among even the convention giants. Why? Because to say its attendees are passionate is… Ii just has to be seen to be understood. But, highlights include the incredibly creative and often incredibly over-the-top wardrobe, opportunity to meet A-list celebrities face to face for autographs and truly being part of a select group of people.

The convention ran from Friday through Sunday, with the Dragon Con annual parade getting underway on Saturday. Thousands of men, women and children lined the packed streets of downtown Atlanta just to catch a glimpse of the procession of elaborate floats.

And, of course, the people walking in the parade were just as unique as the floats themselves!
