CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Vita-Mix Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio is recalling 169,000 64 oz. Vitamix blenders in the United States and Canada, because the blade inside can break and cut the people using it.

Eighteen broken blades have already been linked to the problem, but no injuries have been reported.

You should stop using your Low-Profile blender immediately if it has blade part number 103208A and a blade date code between 03-12 and 07-13. You can find these numbers etched into the tops of the blade, at the bottom of the container.

These containers have a black plastic handle and lid. They were sold with Vitamix blender models 7500, Professional Series 300, Professional Series 750.

If you own one of the recalled 64 oz. containers, please contact Vita-Mix toll-free at (888) 350-4386 to find out how to send back the container and get it repaired for free. You can keep the lid and any other accessories at home.

Please call between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Saturdays.
