DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

A DeKalb County housing agency has reversed its decision to stop a military veteran from flying American flags in front of his residence.  The action comes after FOX 5 exposed the veteran's fight to get his flags back after a housing worker removed them.

Armond "Sonny" Noah says he wasn't given a notice that he couldn't fly the U.S. flag outside his home at the Ashford Landing Senior Residences in Dunwoody.  The community is a federally-subsidized housing facility.

Instead, Noah says the housing agency simply took his flags from a landscaping area.  Several days later, the Korean War vet says he received a call from management officials, who told him he couldn't fly the flags in a commons area.

Many who heard his story on FOX 5 were outraged.  Countless viewers weighed in on Facebook and Twitter about the story, showing support for Noah's fight.

Noah's fight came to an end when he says a top official at the housing agency intervened.  He tells FOX 5 he was sitting in the agency's waiting room writing a letter to complain, and that's when the official came over and told him to fly the flags.

Noah says he was impressed, and he's happy to finally get the outcome he was looking for.

"Justice prevails," Noah said.
