DELRAN, N.J. -

An employee on her lunch break came back to her job at the AT&T store and found all of her co-workers on the floor in the back room. She thought they were doing yoga.

It turns out they had just been robbed in the middle of the afternoon. Two crooks walked out the doors with nearly 40 iPhones and iPads.

"Wow it's the first time I hear that," says a shopper.

"Shocked! This is a really nice area," remarked another.

Those were some of the reactions when we told shoppers at Hartford Corners that armed robbers struck the AT&T store in broad daylight.

"The cops had guns. And I said. That's not normal," says Megan Kane, who works next door.

Megan Kane just arrived for her shift to cut hair when police told her to lock the doors to her shop next door.

A handful of AT&T employees were inside the store when the two gunman told them at gunpoint to get in the back room and on the floor. No customers were in the store and no one was hurt. Police say the crooks made off with at least $20,000 worth of brand new iPads and iPhone 5s. The stolen goods were still in the box.

"Given the economic situation, I get how that could happen, but I'm still surprised it happened here," says Diane Dinunzio of Delran.

A check online shows how valuable new iPhones are on the black market. Sometimes they cost nearly double the retail value.

What's concerning for shoppers is not what was stolen but where the products were stolen.

"It doesn't matter anymore. It used to be just the bad areas. You are just not safe anywhere," says Kim Thomas of Mt. Laurel.

"Never right here. This is a safe place. Typically. Not today," says Megan Kane.

Police say that they have obtained surveillance video from the store's cameras. We hope to get images tomorrow, but detectives say that it was clear these guys knew what they were doing. In fact, one employee says that the store just got a shipment of iPhones less than 24 hours before the robbery.
