Sales, retail and customer service job postings increase, employment and labor force holds steady

DETROIT – Online job postings in Q2 2013 were up 11.5 percent over Q1 2013, jumping to 72,941 from 65,444, according to the Workforce Intelligence Network (WIN). The data, included in WIN's quarterly labor market trends report, includes available positions from the nine counties in Southeast Michigan. "The data reveals that employers are still looking for workers, although at a less frantic pace than a year ago," said Lisa Katz, WIN Executive Director.
For Q2 2013, WIN also found the following:
"Overall, continued strong demand in the form of online job postings is good news for the Southeast Michigan economy," added Katz.
