A look at Cadillac's new luxury concept car: 'Elmiraj'

Posted: Updated:
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) -

Cadillac representatives previewed the new luxury concept car today in Ann Arbor. It's called the Elmiraj.

Car enthusiasts will notice an exterior similarity to the Eldorado from the late 1960's.

Inside, however, is very modernized.

It features pop-up and touch screens to help drivers connect with information in a new way. The two-door coupe's four seats move individually for flexible leg room.

The Elmiraj comes with a twin turbo-charged, 8-cylinder engine that delivers a powerful 500-horses.

The car does not have a production date yet, but if it goes to market, the estimated price would be similar to a current Escalade.

The recent death of a man from Staten Island while he was being arrested by NYPD officers is calling into question a police crackdown on petty offenses to discourage more serious crime. Critics say policing based on the so-called "broken windows" theory can needlessly put people at risk and fuel tensions in the city's minority communities.
