Jeannie Mai: 5 Must Have Fall Trends

Posted: Updated:

Style expert and co-host of ‘The Real' Jeannie Mai was here. You saw her full of sass this summer on ‘The Real' on FOX, and she was here this morning with the trends that we should look out for this fall.

5 TRENDS TO LOOK OUT FOR ON THE SITES BELOW THIS SEASON:
Ornate jackets (design to them) - Wanelo
Thigh high slit skirts - The Hunt
Lace overlays and high hemlines like we say at VMAs - Rent the Runway
Animalistic side to jewelry- Marti
Over the knee Boots and also patterned heels - Rue LaLa

5 BEST WEBSITES TO FIND FALL FASHION:
Wanelo:
Largest growing community for all of the world's shopping. They bring together nearly every brand you've ever heard of. Having started out at 1 million members in Nov they've now grown to 10million today. Besides everything from housewares to personals, it's number one stop is fashion. Ornate jackets are huge this fall, check out the two that I'm coveting right now.

The Hunt: How many times have you seen someone wearing something online, on Instagram, or TV, etc, but you have no idea where to buy it? Welcome to the best online site of interactive besties who will not only help you find the item, but how to find the best deal, too. And the community here will give you tips on what to wear the item with...how to style it...it's literally like hanging in the fitting room with your close friends.." One thing you'll see all over the runway are thigh high slit skirts, and the Hunt makes it easy to find affordable ones to buy.

Rent The Runway: Ever wanted that Cinderella moment, minus the mice? Well you can have it at Rent the Runway. Surf thru thousands of dress styles, find what you like, and rent it for a fraction of the price. Lace overlay and thigh high hemlines are celebrated for Fall 2013, here are a few of my fave designer picks.

Shop-Marti: Details tomorrow. Basically an edgy meets sophisticated line of clothing for women to dress up or down to suit their style. Designers are embracing their animalistic sides this fall, and taxidermic accessories are all the rage. Here are two accessory pieces that mimic the skeletal side of fashion.Rue La- La: The finishing touch to fall is footwear. Everything from over the knee boots to patterned heels are breaking rules, and Rue La La offers fun fashion forward styles at a pocket pretty price.

    Wineries flourish in Brooklyn

Hundreds of oak barrels of wine are all stacked in one room. You might think this is Napa, California. But it's not. It's the Brooklyn Winery, located in what was once an old pickle factory in Williamsburg. Refrigerated grapes are brought in from the North Fork of Long Island and from the Finger Lakes and then aged in barrels. These days urban wineries are becoming more popular, and they're popping up all over the borough.
