CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -

Interstate 75 is back open in Clayton County after a deadly crash shut down the northbound lanes for hours.  Authorities say two people were trying to change a flat tire when they were hit on Monday morning near Jonesboro Road, and both of them were killed.

According to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office, a woman and her brother were headed north on I-75 just north of Jonesboro Road when they got a flat tire.  They pulled over to change it, and they were hit by an oncoming vehicle.

As a result, traffic was backed up for miles, and the accident led to several other fender benders.  No one else was hurt.

I-75 north was reopened after 2 p.m.

The names of the victims were not immediately released, but authorities said they were not from the area.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
