FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -

Coconino County Sheriff's Detectives arrested a couple who they say are connected to a home invasion that occurred on Wednesday in Mountainaire subdivision.

A homeowner told deputies he came home around noon to find a suspect wearing black paint or makeup hiding in a room inside his house.

The suspect, 20-year-old Jeremiah Boswell, allegedly pointed a gun at the man and the  two started fighting. Deputies say Boswell took out a knife, made slashing motions at the homeowner and then tried to use a stun-gun on him.

At some point, the suspect fled.

Detectives learned 19-year-old Tiffany Varming, Boswell's girlfriend, knows one of the homeowner's relatives.

Authorities say they were able to identify the couple and believed they were connected to the home invasion.

Boswell reportedly looked similar to the description the homeowner gave to deputies.

Detectives served a search warrant to the suspects' home on Friday afternoon and say they found items that implicated them in the home invasion.

Boswell faces charges of one count of First Degree Residential Burglary and one count of Aggravated Assault.

Varming faces charges of one count of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Burglary.

Deputies are continuing to investigate and expect they'll file additional charges.
