Diner chain Denny's is opening it's first New York City location, complete with a big-city "deal".   How does a $300 breakfast sound?    The Denny's is located at the corner of Nassau and Spruce in Lower Manhattan's Financial District.  Along with its normal food you can get at just about any location in the rest of the country, this location will offer a Grand Slam breakfast with a bottle of 2003 Dom Perignon champagne.

AHWATUKEE, Ariz. -

He gave a convocation speech that incoming freshman at Georgia Tech will probably remember forever.

Now video of the speech has gone viral and people can't get enough of Nick Selby. Turns out, he's from right here in the valley.

Nick says he actually got the idea for this speech from one of his coaches at Desert Vista High School. He executed the performance perfectly and gave the whole country a thrill.

Video courtesy Georgia Tech: "Our mission as students is not to follow in the footsteps of astronauts, Nobel Prize winners, heroes and presidents but to exceed their footsteps."

Nick Selby gave what many now call "the most amazing speech ever."

"I was really hoping that I could get a round of applause at the end of the speech," Nick Selby tells us.

He got the applause, roaring laughter, and now nationwide attention.

"I'm enjoying my 15 minutes of fame, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity."

Nick tells us that spending 4 years on the Desert Vista Speech and Debate Team gave him the tools he needed to leave such an impression.

"That's how I learned how to public speak. I had a blast doing it and that's kind of how I developed both the passion and skills behind it, thanks to the incredible talent and skill of all of my coaches."

His Desert Vista Coach Erik Dominguez is not surprised to see Nick in the spotlight.

"His energy is still the same, enthusiasm, it's the same old Nick Selby. That's what he did when he was here at Desert Vista -- he just transferred those skills and made it even better in Georgia Tech," says Dominguez.

Speech: "If you want to build the Ironman suit you can do that, if you want to play them music during your convocation speech like a bad ass you can do that. We're at Georgia Tech, we can do that! I am doing that!"

"That's the first time I've heard my son use a bad word I want you to know that," laughs Nick's mom Laurie Selby.

His parents saw Nick practice the speech back in May -- and his mom Laurie admits it made her nervous.

"We had no idea how it was gonna be received."

Nick says speaking is his creative outlet, but he'll stick with engineering when it comes time to make a career choice.

"I want to do the impossible," says Nick.

Nick has a 14-year-old brother on the Desert Vista Speech and Debate Team so we're all hoping for a similar speech in a few years.
