Cyberspace Offers Some Unique Niche Dating Sites

At a time when okcupid, match.com, and eharmony are popular destinations for singles looking for love, certain websites have popped up that offer smaller dating pools for like-minded individuals. Here are some of the most unique and unusual.

Cupidtino, is a site for all fanboys of Apple products. Not only must you be a fan of Apple and Macs, you must also use an Apple device to even be able to access the site.

DiaperMates is a site for people who like to wear adult sized diapers.

420Dating is a site for singles who use marijuana and want to find like-minded folks. The site's creators, though, have a disclaimer that states they do not advocate the use of illegal substances.

For fans of Ayn Rand and her objectivist brand of libertarianism, there's a dating/connection site for that.

A site called Darwin Dating applies "strict rules" and only allows "beautiful people only." The site also allows users to be rated on how "Ass-like" or "Awesome" they look. A quote in the "About" section says, "Charles Darwin was a genius, but unfortunately very ugly. It is ironic that he wouldn't be able to join Darwin Dating!" Another similar site is even more strict. Members vote and approve new members who want to join. A counterpart, Ugly Bug Ball, caters specifically toward "the aesthetically average."

For people with dieting needs, it sometimes takes a lot of patience. People who don't understand someone's allergies, sensitivities and reactions may misinterpret a person's character through his strict food choices. Now, there's a site for people who are gluten free. The site is for anyone who has a condition causing them to not be able to eat foods with gluten or anyone else who's interested in gluten-free for a healthy diet.

Talking about food, there is even a site for farmers only. The site, which has a hilarious commercial attached to it, caters toward anyone who is a "farmer, rancher, and good 'ol country folks."

If you want to cheat on your spouse, a site called Ashley Madison allows married people to have affairs.

These are just a sample of the different niche dating sites online. There are also sites for zombie-loves, vampire-lovers, even sites for intergenerational dating. According to Mashable, a news site analyzing digital trends, 150,000 URLs are created each day. Among all those sites created, who knows how many new dating sites pop into existence each day.
