Car Crashes into Web Tutoring Club in Orange County

"It was this loud screech, smash and screaming." A visibly rattled David Hall, explaining how a Buick sedan crashed through his business, the Tutoring Club, in Fountain Valley. "I think the tutors saw the car and everyone ducked and scattered" he adds, explaining the vehicle trapped two of his tutors under its tires.

I tried to lift the car, he continues, "people tried to help me". Paramedics got the two out, transporting them to local hospitals in serious conditions. Miraculously, only minor injuries for a couple of fifteen year olds, and elderly lady who was standing in front, and the driver -identified as 76 year old Peter Hauk, of Huntington Beach. He kept on saying "I am sorry, it was an accident" says Hall, who added that is was "like he put it in the wrong gear and just went full board".

Parents with children who attend the Club, but were not there at the time of the crash, arrived at the mini mall, hugging one another and their children. Usually, the center has more students in it, but 12:30 pm is a time when the first group of kids leaves, and a second group begins to arrive. Firefighters theorize that's why there weren't more serious injuries.

The building is red tagged. Crashing  through, the Buick actually sheared a support beam and pushed the rear exterior  wall about two feet. . "We'll be back" whispered Hill, adding " just, pray for the tutors, and hug your loved ones tonight, because you just never know..."

Conditions on the tutors are listed as serious and critical. Investigators are still trying to determine how the driver ended up driving his car through the building.
