DETROIT (WJBK) -

Fire officials believe an arsonist is responsible for setting at least 10 fires at vacant homes overnight on the city's east side.

Sources tell FOX 2's Roop Raj the fires were intentionally set in an area around Kelly Road and Hayes Street between 2-6 a.m.

No injuries were reported, but firefighters hope the person responsible knows what kind of danger they're being put in. "We can't assume just because a house looks vacant that it is," said Detroit firefighter Mark Taylor. "We have to go look and we're trying to go and stop it as fast as we can so it doesn't create other problems."
