14-year-old girl hospitalized after hit-and-run

YUMA, Ariz. -

A 14-year-old girl riding a skateboard was hospitalized after a hit-and-run near 24th Street and Avenue B early Saturday morning.

Yuma Police say a teen girl was riding her skateboard when a car hit her and then fled.

The girl was flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital where her injuries are considered life threatening.

The vehicle is described as a light colored, possibly light brown, and possibly between 2002 and 2006 Nissan Altima four door. The car may have damage to the left front corner of the vehicle.

An $1,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.
