Dr. Mike: Autism Study Looks At Labor Induction

There are so many studies about autism looking into what causes it and what increases the risks.

Now, there's another new study that links the disorder with women who have induced labor.

The University of Pennsylvania's Dr. Mike Cirigliano joined "Good Day" on Wednesday morning live in the newsroom with the details.

In one new study, researchers say children of women who had labor induced or sped up with drugs were more likely to go on to develop autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Mike also talked about another surgical procedure for 11-year-old Sarah Murnaghan, the cystic fibrosis patient who has had two lung transplants. According to published reports, the Delaware County girl will be undergoing called a fundoplication for reflux.
