CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say a St. Clair County man was arrested Monday night in connection with the murder of a Clinton Township woman.

Police say the 38-year-old man from Casco Twp. was taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals.

Police say the man, whose name was not made public, was in a relationship with 47-year-old Jacqueline Neumann. Her body was discovered over the weekend inside her home on Rosedale Drive.

Neumann's eleven-year-old son, who lives with his father, had been calling her since Thursday. Neumann's ex-husband called the police and asked for a welfare check on Saturday.

The man is expected in court Tuesday afternoon.
