CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police tape is strung across the front porch. There are signs, a stuffed animal and flowers near the steps. The Clinton Township home of 47-year-old Jackie Neumann is a crime scene.

Neumann's body was found inside the mobile home. Police are calling her death suspicious.

"Very good person, very upbeat, spunky, always coming and going and coming and going, and when she wasn't coming and going, figured there was something wrong," said Colleen Hankey, Neumann's friend and neighbor.

"I knocked on her door. I texted her on Friday."

The victim's eleven-year-old son, who lives with his father, had been calling her since Thursday. Neumann's ex-husband called the police and asked for a welfare check on Saturday.

So far, Clinton Township police have been tight-lipped and even asked the victim's family not to provide her photo to the press. We were told police are currently working this case and do not want to jeopardize their investigation.

Neumann volunteered with the Salvation Army and would cheer on her son at his swim meets. She liked to sit on her back porch in her rocking chair.

Family is asking for prayers and anyone with information to call Clinton Township Police.

"I think it was somebody she knew, and for some reason they had a vendetta," Hankey said.

Another neighbor, Daniel Hewitt, said he last saw Neumann Wednesday morning.
