ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

St. Paul police have arrested two people in connection with the death of a Minnesota National Guard sergeant.

Brandon James Horst, 25, was a staff sergeant with the Minnesota National Guard's 133rd Security Force Squadron. Police said he died of at least one gunshot wound.

Aaron William Allen, 25, and Heather Leann Schwarz, 24, both of St. Paul, have been arrested and could be charged on Monday. No other suspects are currently being sought.

An obituary published in the Pioneer Press states that Horst is survived by his parents, Brenda and Mark, three siblings, three grandparents and his great grandfather, Eddie Horst, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services have been set for Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 749 6th Ave. South at 8th Street in South St. Paul. A visitation service will be held the day before on Monday between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. as well as on Tuesday morning for the hour before the Mass of Christian Burial begins.

Horst will be interned at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The family says memorials are preferred.
