SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

Perhaps the recipe for bailing Detroit out of bankruptcy calls for a cup of Crisco.

The controversial street art, "Crisco Fist (Vessel of Hope)" is currently up for auction on eBay, with proceeds reportedly going to the city of Detroit.

The art was created by local artist Jerry Peterson, also known as Jerry Vile. The can of Crisco stands in front of Detroit's iconic Joe Louis Fist.

As of Friday morning, the bid for the artwork is up to $710. The money reportedly will go to the city of Detroit, or a charity of the city's choosing.

The eBay auction page for the artwork can be found here.
