    Three people are under arrest in connection with the murder of a University of Michigan medical student. Paul DeWolf was found shot to death in his campus apartment on July 24th.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -

Ann Arbor police have announced a $5,000 reward for tips in their investigation of the killing of a University of Michigan medical student.

Twenty-five-year-old 2nd Lt. Paul DeWolf was attending the Ann Arbor school on an Air Force scholarship. He was found slain July 24 at his off-campus apartment after failing to report for work at a hospital.
 
Authorities have released few details of the killing.
 
Police said Monday that the reward is for "information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect" in DeWolf's death.

They ask anyone with information to call or email their Police Department tip line at 734-794-6939 or e-mail TIPS@a2gov.org .

DeWolf planned to graduate from medical school next year.

    Two deputy U.S. marshals and an NYPD detective were seriously wounded in a shootout with a fugitive sexual assault suspect in the West Village in Manhattan, officials said. The shootout happened in smoke shop called Smoking Culture on West 4th Street near Jones Street.
