Burglars break into Pullman homes: Alert

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are warning South Side Pullman neighborhood residents of a pair of home burglaries that occurred last week.

Two suspects forced open a window in a home in the 200 block of West 117th Street at 3:55 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, according to a community alert from Area South detectives. The suspects fled on foot after a security alarm sounded.

A second home was burglarized in the 200 block of West 117th Street on the same day between 10 a.m. and 12:50 p.m., the alert said.

The suspects pushed a window air conditioner unit through a window and stole flat screen televisions, the alert said.

The first suspect is described as a black male 16-20 with a medium complexion and short black hair, the alert said. He was wearing a white t-shirt.

The second suspect is described as a black male 16-20 with a black Afro with possible blonde highlights, the alert said. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
