Sibile Marcellus began her journalism career as an intern at ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and quickly became one of ABC News' youngest anchors.

At age 23, she delivered her first live news brief on ABC News Now, providing on-air coverage of breaking domestic and international news stories.

She reported on the latest 2008 presidential election, Benazir Bhutto, car bombs in Iraq, and French aid workers in Chad accused of child kidnapping. As a production associate and translator for ABC News Nightline, Sibile led ABC to the Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism for "How to Buy a Child in Ten Hours."

At Yale University, Sibile double majored in French, Italian, German. She competed for Yale's Varsity Track Team. She produced the very first Yale figure skating show "Ivy on Ice." Sibile is a board member of the Yale Alumni Association of NY.

At 15, she became a Miss NY Teen USA pageant finalist.

From 14 to 18, she competed in Olympic figure skating trials and is a two-time medalist at the Empire State Games.

    Heavy thunderstorms swept through the tri-state on Sunday causing flash floods and lightning strikes that injured 3 people. The three men were struck at Orchard Beach in the Bronx Sunday afternoon and were being treated at a local hospital. Meanwhile, various Labor Day weekend celebrations were interrupted, delayed and even canceled as the U.S. Open tennis tournament had to be postponed and the Electric Zoo musical festival on Randall's Island had to be prematurely shut down.
