Wow! No matter your music taste - it's an exciting weekend for outdoor concerts in LA this weekend.

Saturday night,  In a very special performance, American icon Diana Ross returns to the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate an unparalleled career that spans more than 40 years, singing her most memorable hits, such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "I'm Coming Out," and "Endless Love." Sunday at the Bowl, Celebrating the release of their new record, the rapturous live shows by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros draw on eclectic influences, rich 12-piece arrangements, and a communal vibe, all to great acclaim. The Sun Ra Arkestra's innovative cosmic vibrations transport us with infectious free-form grooves. And Zimbabwe's Mtukudzi opens with his captivating "Tuku" music.

Over at the Greek Theatre, The most successful French musical outfit of all time, Gipsy Kings, are set to return to The Greek Theatre, LA on Saturday, August 3rd featuring Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo.  Get Tickets here.

On Sunday at the Greek, Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration featuring Warren Haynes and a full orchestra will perform at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 4th.  This new symphonic project celebrates American musical icon Jerry Garcia.

Saturday - the Sunset Street Music Festival, shuts down Sunset Blvd. between San Vicente & Doheny.

    A New Jersey woman has filed a lawsuit against the state's Motor Vehicle Commission, claiming the agency rejected her application for a license plate proclaiming she's an Atheist. Shannon Morgan filed the suit in federal court, saying the rejection of a plate reading "8THEIST" is a violation of her First Amendment rights. The Maurice River Township woman claims plates reading "BAPTIST" have been approved.

    Officials are investigating eight confirmed cases of mumps found in students at New Jersey's Stevens Institute of Technology.The college in Hoboken says the students range in age from 18 to 21. All were fully vaccinated with two documented doses of mumps-containing vaccine.
