CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Four northwest suburban men were ordered held on $500,000 bond for their alleged role in a cannabis trafficking ring.

David Byun, 29, of the 500 block of Daybreak Lane in Round Lake, Brian Panezich, 29, of 0-99 block of Regent Court in Lake Zurich, Landry Park, 29, of the 300 block of East Seegers Road in Arlington Heights and Ted Park, 32, also of 300 block of East Seegers Road in Arlington Heights, were each charged with one count each of felony cannabis trafficking and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, according to a release from the DuPage County State's Attorney's office.

Judge Elizabeth Sexton ordered all four men held on $500,000 bond Friday, the state's attorney's office said.

Authorities were alerted to a suspicious package delivery to a Bensenville UPS facility on Thursday, the state's attorney's office said. The package was addressed to fictitious company owned by Byun, who picked up the package and left in a vehicle driven by Panezich.

Police stopped the vehicle and a canine detected drugs in the package, according to the state's attorney's office. The package allegedly contained 12 pounds of cannabis.

Authorities learned Landry Park picked up a similar package earlier that day. Police found Landry and Ted Park in Landry's vehicle later that day with 15 pounds of cannabis in a trash bag. During a search of the Parks' apartment authorities discovered more than 30 grams of cocaine.

All four will be back in court Aug. 26 for arraignment. Ted and Landry Park will appear in front of Judge John Kinsella while Byun and Panezich will appear in front of Judge Daniel Guerin.
