How to help loved ones with dementia, Alzheimer's

ATLANTA -

Many FOX 5 Atlanta viewers felt a strong connection watching the Newnan community's pain-staking search for 78-year-old Eleanor Alexander, who suffers from dementia, during the last four days. Many viewers have friends and relatives who live with this mental disorder.

Some are likely scared to either confront it or simply don't know how to deal with it. Good Day Atlanta took these concerns to Ginny Helms from the Alzheimer's Association, who has these suggestions.
