Menthol cigarettes, Deb Mell, and immigration reform: Chat Room

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Thursday's Chat Room Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and White House insider Laura Schwartz joined GDC anchor Anna Davlantes to discuss Mayor Emanuel's assault on menthol cigarettes with FOX 32's Joanie Lum.

The ladies also discussed the mayor's choice of Deborah Mell to replace her father in city council. Critics are calling the choice 'business as usual' and another example of nepotism in government. But the mayor said Mell was a "proven legislator" and will be a "great addition to city council.

They also discussed a growing list of musicians who are distancing themselves from Stevie Wonder's boycott of Florida and shocking statements about the weight of fashion models.

Univision radio host, Tsi Tsi Ki Felix joined Chat Room to discuss immigration reform and the Anthony Weiner texting scandal.
