Royal baby watch, Scott Martin and Steven Esposito on saving for college, retirement: Chat Room

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Monday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and GDC anchor Dawn Hasbrouck discussed the excitement surrounding the coming birth of Prince William and Duchess Kate's first-born child - and third in line to the throne – with FOX 32's Joanie Lum.

The ladies also discussed an incident that has many Americans outraged. A Norwegian woman who reported she was raped by a co-worker was sentenced to prison in Dubai for having unlawful sex, making a false statement and illegal consumption of alcohol. She has since been pardoned and returned home.

Nest, the ladies touched on the battle between an Arizona mother and her two-year-old son's former daycare, which gained national attention after the daycare posted the boy's photo on Craig's List with a warning – "he bites." They also talked about the Boston Bruins taking precautions before a visit from Justin Bieber, roping off their logo in the locker room to prevent a fiasco similar to the one that happened when the teen star visited the Stanley Cup in Chicago.

United Advisors Chief Market Strategist Scott Martin and Morgan Stanley Senior Vice President Steven Esposito joined the Chat Room for Money Monday, where they discussed the effects of Detroit filing bankruptcy, Chicago's fate as the city struggles with pension liabilities and budget troubles, advice on saving for college as tuition costs continue to increase and how to save for retirement nowadays – at any age.
