Elderly man with Alzheimer's missing from Albany Park

Police are searching for an elderly man with Alzheimer's disease who went missing early Sunday from his North Side Albany Park home.

Teofilo Ocasio, 84, opened the locked doors of his home near West Lawrence and North Kimball avenues and left about 5:15 a.m., according to a missing person alert from Area North detectives.

Ocasio suffers from Alzheimer's disease and dementia and stutters, the alert said. He has gone missing before and was found at a McDonald's near Lawrence and Milwaukee.

Ocasio is described as a 5-foot-5, 107 pound white Hispanic man with brown eyes, silver hair and a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt and blue jeans.
