Organization calls AZ Gov. Brewer one of the 18 worst

PHOENIX -

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer is being called one of the worst governors in the country. And her office is striking back.

The list of the worst governors was put out by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

The organization says they made the assessment using these criteria: corruption, transparency, partisan politics, pressuring public officials, cronyism, self-enrichment, scandal, and mismanagement.

They picked the 18 worst governors in the country, and divided them into 3 groups -- the worst, the middle, and the ones to watch.

Governor Brewer was in the middle of the pack under "clowns."

The governor's spokesman, Matt Benson, sent a statement saying, "CREW is a far-left group with an objective to attack conservative governors. It's analysis is baseless."

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
