ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) -

The Ann Arbor Art Fair, one of the largest and best art fairs in the country, is back for another year.

From now through Saturday, July 20 the streets of Ann Arbor will welcome more than a half million visitors as they enjoy original works of art, street and music performances, artist demonstrations, sidewalk sales and culinary treats.

"Each year, it's amazing to see the streets of Ann Arbor transformed into what is essentially a
playground for art lovers," said Karen Delhey, a spokeswoman for the Ann Arbor Art Fair.

"This year's fair offers a unique mix of some of the best art from around the world, with many favorite returning artists, as well as a number of artists who will make their debut."

The Ann Arbor Art Fair is composed of four independently juried art fairs taking place simultaneously and contiguously throughout downtown Ann Arbor: Ann Arbor's South
University Art Fair; Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original; Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair; and, the State Street Area Art Fair.

The event will feature a wide variety of art media, including 2D and 3D-mixed media,
drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry and works in metal, stone and wood.

This year, the Ann Arbor Art Fair also welcomes Kalahari Resorts and Convention Centers, which will present African-themed activities throughout the event.
