Fash Bash coming to Detroit Institute of Arts

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -

Founders Junior Council (FJC), a young professionals' auxiliary of the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), announced that its signature fundraiser, Fash Bash, will return this summer.

Fash Bash is presented in partnership with Neiman Marcus and will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the DIA.

Fash Bash 2013 proceeds will directly benefit the museum's operating endowment, helping to ensure the DIA's long-term sustainability in our community.

Fash Bash will again take place at the museum following the success of last year's record-breaking fundraising event.

Guests will celebrate a sense of Detroit city chic on the steps of the DIA and be treated to a one-of-a-kind evening of fashion, food, and fun.

The evening will commence with a cocktail party on the steps of the DIA, followed by the Neiman Marcus "Art of Fashion" show in the DIA's magnificent Great Hall, and close with late night dancing under the stars celebrating summer nights and city lights.

Tickets will be available at four levels:

HAUTE COUTURE, limited to 104 couples at $1,000 per couple, includes priority reserved seating in the front row for the fashion show;

COUTURE CROWD, limited to 104 couples at $500 per couple, includes priority reserved seating in the second row for the fashion show;

PrEt-A-Porter, limited to 108 individuals at $175 per ticket, includes general seating at the fashion show; and

SARTORIAL SPLENDOR, at $75 per ticket, provides access to the post-fashion show "Paparazzi Party After Glow" on the front steps of the DIA.

    It's not just the styles that have changed with weddings over the years -- it's also the technology. Disposable cameras used to be the norm, but now there's an even simpler way for the bride and groom to get some candid photos of their special day.
