3rd victim in SF plane crash identified

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Chinese media has identified the third teenager who died from her injuries in last week's Asiana Airline crash in San Francisco.

Liu Yipeng was identified as the third victim to die in the plane crash and Chinese media said she went to school with the other two victims killed in last week's accident, a pair of 16-year-old girls.

Yipeng died Friday morning at San Francisco General Hospital where she had been in critical condition since the July 6 accident.

All three girls were headed California from China for a summer camp.

This comes after an official confirmed on Friday that one of the other girls who died in the disaster had been covered on the runway in flame-retardant foam and hit by a fire truck speeding to the crash site.

The NTSB says it's still investigating the crash, looking at pilot inexperience and error as possible causes.
