TROY, Mich. (WJBK) -

A 28-year-old Ecorse man has been charged with felonious assault following a stabbing at the Somerset Collection earlier this week.

Troy Police Capt. Robert Redmond says Mario Ridgeway was arrested Monday evening after he stabbed an acquaintance three times following an argument outside the doors of the mall's north side.

Police responded to the scene and arrested Ridgeway on the north side of Macy's department store. A folding knife with blood on it was found in his pants pocket, Redmond says.

The victim was treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Redmond says the victim and the assailant traveled to the mall with three others to purchase iPhones at the Apple store with the intent to resell the devices at a much higher price.

Ridgeway was arraigned Wednesday. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
