ORLAND PARK, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two southwest suburban men are in trouble after a housekeeper employed by one of their parents became ill after eating a marijuana-laced brownie while cleaning after a party, the SouthtownStar is reporting.

Police said the 57-year-old woman was cleaning the residence of Ajay Sundar's parents in Orland Park on June 7 when she ate a brownie that she found on top of a cabinet. Soon after, she complained to Sundar, 23, that she felt dizzy and nauseous, and he called 911, according to Orland Park police.

They said the woman mentioned eating the brownie to paramedics and that it might've smelled of marijuana. Paramedics informed police, who then questioned Sundar.

He told police that his parents were vacationing overseas, he had some friends over the previous night and one of them, 22-year-old Jibril Ghadban, left with the brownies.

Police contacted Ghadban, who initially did not cooperate but eventually led officers to a trash can containing three containers of pot brownies, police said.

The cleaning woman was taken to a hospital as a precaution, and a urine test revealed marijuana in her bloodstream but she did not want to file charges, according to police.

They said Ghadban, 14259 Brighton Court, and Sundar, 9113 Kensington Way, both of Orland Park, were charged with reckless conduct, a municipal violation.
