Plane Crash Survivors talk to FOX 11

San Francisco, CA -

182 victims of the Asiana flight 214 crash were hospitalized at 11 different San Francisco area hospitals.  San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH)  got the most patients, and also the most critical ones.

As of Sunday evening most of the patients were released, except for 17 that were still admitted at SFGH.

Wen Zhang was one of the patients released, from the hospital, she was onboard Asiana flight 214 when it crash landed.  Zhang was sitting in row 40, the back of the plane, near the tail section that she says snapped off from the rest of the aircraft.

"The plane tail just touched the ground directly," said Zhang.  Zhang says she went into shock when the crash happened, "I think nothing, yes I'm shocked, I think nothing, i just want it to stop."

Passenger Fey Xion was sitting just a few rows up from Zhang, in row 31, Xion says the crash itself lasted only seconds, but in that time she thought her life was over.  "Just felt like to die," said Xion.

But Xion didn't die, and neither did her 8 year old son who was traveling with her.  "He's so brave.  He told me mom we must go out and he ran out of the plane.  And he jumped down first and then I come out."

Wen Zhang was also on board with her 4-year-old son, she says they got out through a hole in the side of the plane *not through an emergency door.  "A big hole near the bathroom, most of the bathroom is gone."  Her son's left leg was broken, because the seats in front of them collapsed on top of him.

Zhang's family of six was travelling to the US to vacation and despite his injuries and traumatic experience her adorable 4 year old says he wants to continue those plans.  "He already said i don't want to stay at the hospital, i want to go to the America hotel.  I like hotel, I need a bath."

Many of the other patients taken to SFGH weren't as lucky as the ones FOX 11 talked to.  Six patients are still in critical condition at SFGH, one of them is a child.  At least two patients at SFGH are paralyzed, but there could be more, doctors won't know how many more until the unconscious patients wake up.

Looking for a taxi cab is a common sight in the city. For some people, an outstretched arm is usually the sign for hailing a cab. A few other folks see it as something else.Meet Meir Kalmanson. He sees a hand in the air as an opportunity to lighten up a person's serious or frantic state. Meir decided to high-five his way down Fifth Avenue. The video of his rebellion of social norms has gone viral.

I had the chance to demo Samsung's Gear VR recently. It's a virtual reality headset powered by a smartphone. Don't let that fool you though. It's impressive!
