CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

One man was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting on the Near West Side Saturday morning.

About 3:15 a.m., three men -- ages 25, 21 and 40 -- were standing on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of West Maxwell Street. A dark-colored sedan pulled up, two people exited and opened fire on the men, police said.

Jerimiah Milsap, 25, was shot multiple times and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he died at 7:31 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Milsap was shot and killed outside his home, according to the medical examiner's office.

The 21-year-old was shot in the left leg and also taken to Stroger Hospital. The 40-year-old was shot in the right arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

No one was in custody as Area Central detectives investigated.
